Sreeram Iyer

Sreeram is the global Chief Operating Officer for ANZ’s Corporate and Institutional Business.

 

With 30 years of international banking experience, Sreeram has held senior leadership roles in different countries that drive long-term business change and adoption of new technologies. 

 

Prior to ANZ, Sreeram was the CEO for Standard Chartered Bank’s shared service centres covering India, China and Malaysia. 

 

His focus is to develop a strategy for Digital Transformation in financial services, and in leading large teams through Change. 

 

Sreeram has been serving as an Advisory Board Member for several years. He is a part-time writer, contributing author, guest lecturer and a TEDx Speaker. He is a recognized keynote presenter at international conferences. He has won global awards for his community work, particularly in providing access to quality education and scholarship for underprivileged kids. Sreeram also offers his time as an Adviser for some Non-Profit Boards and Committees. He was a former Board Member and Trustee of Sightsavers International in India. 

 

Sreeram earned his learning experiences from programmes at MIT (Boston), London Business School and INSEAD. He also holds an MBA from the UK, is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst, a Management Accountant, and a Company Secretary from India.

 

He is a long-time resident of Singapore. He is a keen tennis player, dislikes e-Books and prefers reading the old-fashioned way.
