Fintech is an industry that can fuel the BVI economy for years to come. As part of my professional development, I engaged in the Fintech program, which exposed me to using technology such as UIPATH and Power BI to manipulate data, create visualizations, dashboards and achieve results relatively quickly.
The program also offered an understanding of App development, Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence.
As a result, I am now more tech-savvy and applying the knowledge gained from the program in my personal and work life.
In just a few short months, I gained practical experience in areas such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Blockchain, and Data Analytics/Business Intelligence, and was able to confidently build and present functional solutions. The course is well-structured and provides valuable insights into the latest technology trends and opportunities in Fintech.
I believe this training program is a must for anyone looking to add new layers of skills and knowledge to their career.
It was an eye-opening experience, being introduced to existing technologies and seeing how they are being used.
Then doing a project to apply these technologies to address BVI issues and to ensure the financial viability was a great exercise.
The group presentations showed that there is a lot of talent here in the BVI.
